Protecting the environment as corporate mission

Throughout our company, we seize even the smallest chance to reduce emission during development, manufacturing, and distribution – even when disposing of waste. Due to this meticulous environmental management system, ebm-papst is a company having successfully passed the certification process according to the DIN EN ISO 14001 standard.

Moreover, in the context of the pilot project ”Energieeffizienz-Initiative Region Hohenlohe”, an initiative on energy-efficiency in the Hohenlohe region, we extensively modernised our headquarters in Mulfingen. Various measures were taken to ensure that CO2 emission is now reduced by almost 1,000 tons a year. And having a modern groundwater well-cooling system installed now helps us to enjoy a saving in energy of about 500,000 kWh a year.

However, we also want to do our best to continuously reduce energy consumption in the future. This is why ebm-papst has been financing a chair at the Heilbronn University since early 2008. This endowed chair is part of the Energy Management/Regenerative Energies domain of the newly founded degree programme ”Energy Management” studies. Thus, this chair ideally supports the main focus of development here at ebm-papst and is sure to provide new insight and knowledge in the field of energy generation and usage in the long run.
